For credit providers · Built for Kenya

Bring your credit
to the checkout.

EDOMX is the bridge between Kenyan credit providers and the merchants where Kenyans actually shop. Mobile lenders, banks, and money market funds — one integration, many merchants. You keep the customer, the rates, the brand. We bring the distribution.

Provider categories

Three lanes onto the same bridge.

Whether you're a mobile-first lender, a chartered bank, or an asset manager running a money market fund — EDOMX routes your product into Kenyan checkouts on rails appropriate to your technology stack and your regulator.

Mobile Loan Providers

Digital-first lenders meeting borrowers inside the M-Pesa menu or on Android. Short-tenor, high-velocity products that thrive on real-time decisioning.

Integration: Typical fit: REST API, USSD bridge, or app deep-link for authorisation.

Established banks bringing their mobile and digital credit products to retail checkout. Larger limits, longer tenors, deeper customer relationships.

Integration: Typical fit: core-banking integration or treasury API, with our adapter layer in between.

Money Market Funds

Customer balances on MMFs become spendable at participating retailers. Funding source rather than credit — the customer is spending what they hold, with the asset manager settling on their behalf.

Integration: Typical fit: asset-manager API, with same-day NAV settlement and balance-debit authorisation.

Why join the bridge

Distribution without dilution.

Most Kenyan credit products are stuck inside the apps that issued them. EDOMX gets your product to where the spending is happening — without taking your customer, your fees, or your brand along the way.

Reach checkout, not just balance
Your customers already have credit (or savings) with you. What they lack is a way to spend it at the merchants where they shop. We bridge that gap.
You keep the customer
The underwriting, the rates, the repayment relationship, the brand — all yours. EDOMX never inserts itself between you and the customer you onboarded.
One integration, many merchants
Implement the bridge spec once. Your product becomes selectable at Jumia, Naivas, Quickmart, and every other merchant we add — automatically.
Real-time decisioning visibility
Authorisation success rate, latency, error categories, top declines — live, queryable, exportable. No mysteries, no quarterly post-mortems.
Net settlement, daily reconciliation
Standardised daily settlement file, signed and reconciled. Disputes flow through a clear shared queue, not email threads.
Build on your existing rails
API, webhook, USSD, or core-banking — we meet you on the technology you already have. No requirement to rebuild the front-of-house just to connect.

How it works — your side

From handshake to live in weeks.

Joining the bridge looks more like signing a card-network agreement than building a new digital channel. Most of the heavy lifting is on our side.

  1. 01

    Apply & scope

Partnership agreement, integration scope, joint DPIA, brand and disclosure commitments. Typically two to four weeks with a focused counterpart on each side.

  2. 02

    Integrate on your rails

We meet you on the technology you have — REST API, webhook, USSD bridge, or core-banking adapter. Sandbox with deterministic test customers; certification against the bridge spec.

  3. 03

    Go live & monitor

Your product appears in every connected customer's picker at every connected merchant. Real-time dashboards on authorisation rate, latency, declines, settlement, disputes.

Integration models

Connect on your terms.

Three integration shapes covering the technical realities of Kenyan credit providers. Each terminates against the same EDOMX bridge contract — so customer-facing behaviour is consistent regardless of which lane you arrive on.

For mobile lenders

Direct REST API

OAuth-style customer linking, JSON authorisation requests, signed webhooks. The path-of-least-resistance for providers already API-mature.

Best for: Faraja, Tala, Branch, modern digital lenders

For banks

Core-banking bridge

EDOMX adapter terminates against your core banking system, exposing a normalised interface to the bridge. We absorb the ESB complexity.

Best for: Equity, NCBA, Co-op, Absa, Stanbic, I&M

For asset managers

NAV-aware MMF rail

Balance-debit authorisation with same-day NAV settlement. Built around the unitisation and trust-account constraints MMFs operate under.

Best for: Britam, CIC, Sanlam, ICEA LION, Old Mutual, NCBA Investment Bank

Compliance

Your licence. Your underwriting. Your customer.

EDOMX is the bridge, not the lender. That means almost every regulatory responsibility you'd worry about transferring to a partner stays exactly where it is today — with you.

  • Licensing stays with you

CBK DCP, banking, and CMA Trustee / Fund Manager licences remain on the connected provider — EDOMX is the bridge, not the licensee.

  • KYC stays canonical at source

You already KYC'd the customer when you originally onboarded them. EDOMX KYCs the customer separately for the platform, but your record is the source of truth for credit-related identity.

  • Joint DPIA template

EDOMX provides a standard DPIA template covering the data-flows EDOMX → provider, provider → EDOMX. Co-signed with each partner; updated together.

  • Disclosure at the picker

Consumer Protection Act requires customers see total cost, APR, and fees before they commit. We surface your disclosed numbers at the moment of selection; you control the copy.

  • CRB and reporting

You continue your existing CRB reporting on your originated loans. EDOMX adds no new reporting obligation; we are upstream of your credit decision.
